Booking, Payments, Cancellation Policy and Reserving Your Place
To confirm a reservation on any Traveling with Jorge® tour, a deposit is required for each traveler. The deposit amount is clearly indicated on the corresponding tour page.
By submitting a reservation and making the required deposit, travelers acknowledge that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Unless otherwise specified for a particular departure, deposits are fully refundable for 30 calendar days from the date payment is received (excluding any non-refundable banking or transaction fees), provided the request is made before the cancellation deadline published for that tour.
After this period, deposits become non-refundable. However, subject to availability and at the sole discretion of Iberian Experience Travels, S.L., they may be transferred as a credit toward a future departure if requested in writing before the final payment deadline.
Final Payment
The balance of your tour price must be paid by the final payment date specified on each individual tour page.
Reservations with outstanding balances after the payment deadline may be cancelled automatically, and any applicable deposit will be forfeited.
For reservations made shortly before departure, full payment may be required within 48 hours of booking in order to confirm participation.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all payments become non-refundable once the final payment deadline has passed.
Payment Methods
Payments may be made securely through this website using accepted credit or debit cards or by international bank transfer.
All prices and payments are processed in Euros (€).
Personal checks are not accepted.
Solo Travelers & Single Rooms
Traveling solo is one of the great pleasures of small-group travel, and many of my guests choose exactly that.
Private single rooms are available on most departures upon payment of the applicable Single Supplement, as indicated on each tour page.
Availability is limited and offered on a first-confirmed basis.
Travel Insurance
Although not mandatory, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveler.
Your policy should ideally include protection for:
- Medical expenses
- Emergency medical evacuation
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Travel delays
- Lost or delayed baggage
- Additional accommodation or transportation expenses caused by unforeseen circumstances
Travel insurance offers valuable peace of mind and helps protect your investment should unexpected events affect your journey.
Additional Tour Information
Smoke-Free Group Travel
To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, all Traveling with Jorge® tours are non-smoking during group activities.
Guests who smoke are welcome to do so only in designated outdoor areas and always with consideration for fellow travelers. Smoking is not permitted during guided visits, group meals, inside vehicles, hotel rooms, or anywhere local regulations prohibit it.
Itinerary Flexibility
Every itinerary has been carefully designed using years of professional experience.
However, travel sometimes brings unexpected situations that no one can predict.
Weather conditions, local events, road closures, monument schedules, transportation delays, safety considerations, government regulations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control may occasionally require adjustments to the published itinerary.
Whenever this happens, every reasonable effort will be made to provide suitable alternatives of comparable quality while preserving the overall spirit and value of the journey.
Such operational adjustments do not constitute grounds for refunds, provided the tour continues to deliver substantially the experience originally described.
Sometimes the unexpected creates the most memorable moments.
Limits of Responsibility
Travel is one of life’s greatest adventures.
Like every adventure, it involves a certain level of uncertainty. Although every effort is made to organize each journey carefully and responsibly, circumstances beyond anyone’s control may occasionally arise.
By participating in one of our tours, travelers acknowledge and accept the ordinary risks associated with domestic and international travel, including but not limited to weather conditions, transportation delays, illness, accidents, strikes, political events, supplier interruptions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Iberian Experience Travels, S.L., operating under the registered trademark Traveling with Jorge®, acts as organizer and coordinator of the travel services described in each itinerary. Certain services—including accommodation, transportation, restaurants, museums, local guides, and attractions—are provided by independent third-party suppliers operating under their own licenses, insurance, and legal responsibilities.
While every reasonable effort is made to select reliable partners and provide high-quality experiences, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. cannot accept responsibility for acts, omissions, negligence, delays, cancellations, service interruptions, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control involving independent suppliers.
Personal Responsibility
Each traveler remains responsible for their own personal health, physical condition, medications, travel documents, personal belongings, and compliance with all applicable laws and local regulations during the tour.
Travelers are also responsible for assessing whether the activity level of a tour is appropriate for their individual physical abilities before making a reservation.
No medical or healthcare services are provided as part of the tour.
Should medical attention become necessary, reasonable assistance will be provided in locating appropriate healthcare services whenever possible. Any resulting medical treatment, transportation, accommodation, or related expenses remain the sole responsibility of the traveler.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control or from services provided by independent third-party suppliers.
Nothing contained within these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited under applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protection legislation.
Our Commitment
Although no journey can ever be completely free of unexpected events, one promise remains constant.
I’ll always do everything reasonably possible to help resolve problems, assist travelers when difficulties arise, and keep the journey enjoyable for everyone.
Circumstances Beyond Our Reasonable Control
Travel, by its very nature, involves situations that cannot always be predicted or prevented.
Although every reasonable effort is made to plan each journey carefully, travelers acknowledge that circumstances beyond the control of Iberian Experience Travels, S.L., operating under the registered trademark Traveling with Jorge®, may affect the operation of a tour.
These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
- Severe weather or natural disasters
- Transportation delays, cancellations, or operational disruptions
- Road closures or infrastructure failures
- Government actions, border restrictions, customs or immigration requirements
- Public health emergencies, epidemics, pandemics, or disease outbreaks
- Civil unrest, demonstrations, strikes, or labor disputes
- Criminal activity, theft, or acts of third parties
- Terrorism, armed conflict, or other security-related incidents
- Force majeure events or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Should any such event occur, reasonable modifications to the itinerary, transportation, accommodation, or included services may become necessary in the interest of traveler safety or the successful continuation of the tour.
Except where required by applicable law, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. shall not be responsible for losses, delays, expenses, inconvenience, or damages resulting directly or indirectly from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Third-Party Claims
Each traveler remains personally responsible for their own actions throughout the tour.
Should a third party bring a claim directly against a traveler arising from that traveler’s own conduct, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. shall not be responsible for providing legal defense, indemnification, or reimbursement, except where such responsibility is imposed by applicable law.
