Porto
Day 1: Arrival and welcome

Arrival at your hotel (tbc) on your own. Upon arrival, we will gather for a welcome and introductory meeting, followed by a gentle orientation walk through our neighborhood and a welcome dinner at a nearby local restaurant.

Porto
Day 2: Panoramic tour of Porto

After breakfast, we will board our private transportation for a panoramic drive through the impressive city of Porto, the second-largest city in Portugal and, as legend has it, the origin of the country’s name.

Guided visit to Casa da Música, the city’s iconic Opera House. This striking and contemporary building has become one of Porto’s defining landmarks. During the visit, we will explore how architectural vision and creativity shaped one of the most unique concert halls in the world.

After a short break, we continue to another essential highlight: the Serralves Museum. Regarded as one of Europe’s finest modern art museums, it offers an outstanding blend of art, architecture, and landscape. Lunch, dinner, and the remainder of the day at leisure.

Porto
Day 3: A tour of the world of Porto wine

Today we leave the city behind for a scenic day trip dedicated to the world of Port wine. We will travel along one of the beautiful roads tracing the Douro River Valley while learning about the history, traditions, and curiosities of Port wine production. At a traditional wine estate, we will discover the state regulated harvest process and the methods that give Port wine its distinctive character, followed by a tasting of the estate’s wines. Following the visit, we will remain on site to enjoy a picnic-style lunch, including table wine. In the afternoon, we return home on our private transportation. Dinner on your own.

Porto
Day 4: Traditional wine cellars by the river Douro

After breakfast, we set out on a private guided tour exploring diffrent corners of the city, followed by an exclusive visit to one of the traditional wine cellars by the river Douro. We then continue to the former Stock Exchange Palace, considered one of Porto’s architectural wonders and historically the place where merchants once negotiated and auctioned Port wine prices. Lunch and remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner at the hotel.

Coimbra
Day 5: On our way to Lisbon, we passed through Coimbra

After breakfast, we depart by private transportation toward our next destination: Lisbon. En route, we stop in the charming and historic city of Coimbra. With our local guide, we will stroll through its historic center and visit the renowned University of Coimbra and its legendary library, considered among the most prestigious academic institutions in Europe. Lunch at a local restaurant, followed by continuation to Portugal’s capital, Lisbon. Dinner included.

Lisbon
Day 6: A tour of Lisbon's street names

Panoramic city drive including the Belém District and a visit to the Jerónimos Monastery. Following these visits, our local guide will escort us to the Ribeira Market, now a true paradise for food lovers, offering a wide variety of flavors and culinary experiences. After an introduction and orientation by the guide, you will have free time to explore at your own pace. Given its riverside location and proximity to the city center, this is also a perfect opportunity for a leisurely walk and a different perspective of Lisbon. Lunch, dinner, and the rest of the day at leisure.

Sintra
Day 7: Sintra and the Palácio da Pena

Today we depart by coach to Sintra, where we will visit the village and the Palácio da Pena. This colorful and romantic hilltop palace is famous for its fairytale appearance and eclectic 19th century architectural styles, blending Gothic, Manueline, and Islamic influences. Built by King Ferdinand II, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a National Monument, and one of Portugal’s Seven Wonders, celebrated for its imaginative towers, terraces, and surrounding parklands. Lunch (included) followed by free time. On our return to Lisbon, we stop at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, and drive through Estoril, once a refuge for European royalty and a hub of espionage during World War II. We return to Lisbon along the scenic coastal Marginal road.

Lisbon
Day 8: National Museum of Ancient Art (MNAA) and Ajuda National Palace

Half-day private tour with our guide, visiting two major cultural landmarks. First, the National Museum of Ancient Art (MNAA). This museum houses Portugal’s most important public art collection, featuring decorative arts from Europe, Africa, and the East. Located in the historic Palácio de Alvor, it displays masterpieces by Dürer, Bosch, and Raphael, as well as treasures from the Age of Discoveries, offering a comprehensive insight into Portuguese heritage and global art history.

Second, the Ajuda National Palace. This neoclassical royal residence was built after the devastating earthquake of 1755 and served as the official home of the Portuguese royal family until 1910. Today, as a museum, it reveals lavish 19th century interiors adorned with decorative arts, paintings, and tapestries, and offers beautiful views over the city and the Tagus River. After the visits, return to the hotel. Lunch, dinner, and the remainder of the day at leisure.

Évora
Day 9: The walled city of Évora

Évora, one of Portugal’s must visit destinations, is a historic walled city in the Alentejo region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Renowned for its well-preserved Roman remains, such as the Temple of Diana, and its medieval heritage, including the Cathedral and the haunting Chapel of Bones, Évora is often described as an open air museum. The city blends ancient history with local charm and modern life, featuring whitewashed houses, relaxed squares, and a rich regional cuisine, and stands as the historic capital of Alentejo. After the guided visit, free time to explore and lunch on your own, followed by return to Lisbon. Our farewell dinner will take place at a special venue and will include a traditional Fado show. Let go of time, immerse yourself in the emotion of the music, and enjoy this unforgettable final evening.
