The health and wellbeing of every traveler remain one of my highest priorities.
Health and safety procedures may occasionally need to change in response to evolving public health guidance, local regulations, or operational requirements.
For that reason, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. reserves the right to introduce reasonable health and safety measures before or during a tour whenever considered necessary for the wellbeing of travelers, guides, suppliers, or local communities.
Such measures may include, where appropriate, recommendations or requirements relating to communicable diseases, hygiene practices, local public health regulations, or other reasonable precautions.
By participating in the tour, travelers agree to comply with these reasonable instructions whenever they are introduced in the interest of public health or group safety.
Failure to comply with measures that are reasonably necessary to protect the health, safety, or wellbeing of the group may result in removal from the tour in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
My Commitment
Rules and policies are important and they are only one part of the experience.
What truly matters is creating an environment where every traveler feels welcomed, respected, safe, and able to enjoy Spain with complete peace of mind.
That’s the standard I set for every journey, and the promise I make to every traveler who chooses to explore Spain with me.
Illness During the Tour
Traveling is an enjoyable experience, and like any other journey, it carries certain health risks.
Iberian Experience Travels, S.L., operating under the registered trademark Traveling with Jorge®, cannot accept responsibility for illnesses, infections, or medical conditions contracted before, during, or after participation in one of its tours.
Each traveler remains responsible for their own healthcare, medical treatment, prescriptions, hospitalization, transportation, accommodation, meals, and any other expenses resulting from illness or injury while traveling.
All travelers are expected to comply with applicable public health regulations and local laws in every destination visited throughout the tour.
Whenever reasonably possible, I’ll gladly assist travelers in locating medical facilities, pharmacies, transportation, or other practical support should the need arise.
Missed Tour Services Due to Illness
If a traveler is unable to participate in part or all of the itinerary due to illness, injury, medical isolation, quarantine requirements, or any other health-related circumstance affecting that traveler, refunds or credits cannot be provided for the unused portion of the tour unless required by applicable law.
For this reason, comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip interruption, and cancellation is strongly recommended.
If We Need to Cancel a Tour
Although cancellations are rare, there may occasionally be circumstances that make it impossible or impractical to operate a scheduled departure.
Should Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. cancel a tour before departure, travelers will receive a refund of all monies paid for the affected tour, excluding any non-refundable banking or payment processing fees where legally permissible.
Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days, or within the period required by applicable law.
While every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. cannot accept responsibility for independent travel arrangements made outside the tour booking, including but not limited to airline tickets, hotel reservations, visas, travel insurance, or other services purchased separately by the traveler.
For this reason, travel insurance that includes cancellation protection is strongly recommended.
Extraordinary Circumstances & Force Majeure
Occasionally, events occur that are beyond the reasonable control of anyone involved in the operation of a tour.
These extraordinary circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
- Natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, wildfires, volcanic activity, or severe weather.
- Government actions, border closures, travel restrictions, or changes in immigration requirements.
- Public health emergencies, epidemics, pandemics, or official health advisories.
- Political unrest, civil disturbances, terrorism, armed conflict, or security concerns.
- Transportation disruptions, strikes, labor disputes, infrastructure failures, or supplier interruptions.
- Utility failures, environmental incidents, or any other event that could not reasonably have been anticipated or avoided.
Should such circumstances affect the operation of a tour, Iberian Experience Travels, S.L. reserves the right to modify the itinerary, substitute services of comparable quality whenever reasonably possible, postpone departure, or cancel the tour if necessary for operational or safety reasons.
Any refunds, credits, or alternative arrangements will be handled in accordance with the applicable laws governing package travel and consumer protection in Spain.
Because significant planning, supplier commitments, and administrative work begin well before departure, certain deposits or non-recoverable costs may remain non-refundable where permitted by law and where such costs have already been irrevocably incurred.
Whenever circumstances beyond our control arise, my priority will always be to communicate openly, help travelers understand their available options, and work toward the fairest practical solution for everyone involved.
To keep in mind…
Travel doesn’t always go exactly as planned.
Flights are delayed, weather changes, unexpected situations arise, and sometimes the best itinerary needs to adapt.
When that happens, you won’t be dealing with a call center or an anonymous department.
You’ll be dealing directly with me.
I’ll always do everything reasonably possible to keep you informed, find practical solutions, and make sure that—even when circumstances change—you continue to feel supported throughout your journey.
That’s the kind of service I’d expect when I travel. It’s also the kind of service I promise to provide
