These tours are for small groups (5-10 people), and we will travel on trains and/or comfortable medium size buses, which enable us to get into many places that big buses just can’t. They also provide us with opportunities to ‘dash’ down a country lane to explore something new and unique…, an adventure! We will even try public transit as we locals do!
Dinners and lunches provided are all in nice restaurants and our hotels are exceptionally located and of a good standard.
What’s included:
- A “Boutique” extra small group (5-10 travelers), having “experiences” at the pace needed, keeping in mind scheduled timing.
- Your personal wireless receiver with a disposable earphones from the beginning of your tour. It will be handled by your guide, totally sanitized. (You can use your own earphones if you wish).
- Lunches and dinner mentioned in description of the tours and all breakfasts.
- The occasional extra/surprise picnic or bar-hop along the line.
- Accommodations for 9 nights at strategically located hotels, (as stated in the program).
- All activities mentioned in descriptions of the tours.
- Hotels, guides and drivers’ tips.
- The privilege of 2 guides at certain moments of the tour, mainly while visiting locations and/or museums.
- Daily supply of face masks. (if needed)
- 1 hour of free consulting via zoom assisting, after reservation and deposit made, on information in how to get to your destination before and/or after the tour. (Recommended here to prepare all your questions and queries on a list, and send it to travelingwithjorge.web@gmail.com in advance).
Scheduled visits and activities are subject to change. We reserve the right to move these activities around, on our schedule, in order to avoid bad weather or other things that are out of our control.
Not included:
Air, train or any kind of transportation to and from your destination outside of this program/tour.
“Traveling with Jorge” does not facilitate or purchase any tickets regarding transportation, or entrances to sites not included in the program.
Drinks, meals, or any cost related to any items purchased outside of the group activities as stated in the program, including any personal purchase while in group activities.
Luggage service at any of the hotels, transportation of luggage from and to the hotels.
Any other cost not included in the “What’s included” section”.
Dietary requirements:
Be open minded. “Traveling with Jorge” totally understands how shocking a local meal can be compared to your local food.
Allergies, by all means, will always be respected. Also vegetarians. Vegan food is not easy to find in Spain. There are options in big cities. In small towns it is less easy. Traveling with Jorge will do the best to accommodate one way or another.
Eating preferences are your choice. Keep in mind that at most of our meals there will be options to choose. In the strange case any food does not match your preferences, you are always welcome to purchase your own food at the restaurant we are at, at your own expense. (This rarely happens while touring groups). Same thing applies to drinks ordered outside of what is included per meal.
Recommendations: (and some thoughts)
Travel Insurance is highly recommended. Spain is in a high standard of Public and Private Health Care. You will need to pay for any cost involving your health at a Public or Private hospital. By keeping all receipts in case any medical care is needed, you can deal with your insurance once you are back home.
Travel smart and light. Kitchen sink won’t be necessary. I always travel with a carry-on roller, a back pack and a light duffel bag in my back pack. “Just in case” items most of the time are useless. About shoes, a pair of trekking or running shoes for the walking activities and a dress pair, (no stilettos, please), are more than enough. (Packing cubes are a life saver!)
Please, check the Spanish Embassy webpage, Covid related and extra news. (These links are updated regularly)
Traveling with Jorge does not take any responsibility if these steps prior to traveling are not considered nor done. Traveling with Jorge expects you to follow all local guidelines for safety while on tour, whether is on “tour activities” or on your own.
“Recommendations” are not prohibitions. (Regarding traveling)
This business is a compilation of 27 years of travel expertise. By emailing Traveling with Jorge, you will receive the process on signing up for the tour. A safety pledge form will be sent to you for completion. (One form per participant. Returning the completed form will be your verbal commitment for the tour).
Covid-19 & Contagion Policy
Coronaviruses, Covid-19, norovirus, and other communicable diseases present challenges that every traveler must manage. Traveling with Jorge requires our travelers to agree to follow local public health regulations to participate on our tours. Such regulations may include vaccination, testing, masking, social distancing, and other measures. These regulations can change during the course of travel planning and even while on tour.
Fully vaccination is required to travel with us having received your dose at least 14 days before the tours schedulled stars. (1 dose Johnson & Johnson, or, 2 dose series from Moderna/Pfizer). This can be prooved by showing your vaccination card at the begining of the tour.
Unfortunately, no exceptions can be offered if you have any medical or religious excemptions.
Boosters are not required any longer but strongly recommended.
Travelers who present symptoms of Covid-19 before or during a tour will be required to test. If a positive result occurs, the traveler and any travel partner sharing a room with the infected person will be required to isolate away from the tour group. Guides will assist with making quarantine arrangements for infected travelers and continue to assist them as much as possible. These travelers will no longer participate in the rest of the program.
Traveling with Jorge assumes no liability for travelers who contract Covid-19 or any other diseases while participating on our tours. Travelers are fully responsible for their own medical care while traveling to, from, and during our tours, as well as for any associated costs, including but not limited to accommodations, transportation, and meals. Traveling with Jorge travelers agree to these policies with the understanding that failure to comply is grounds for removal from a tour.
Notes and thoughts:
Traveling in such an extra small group means fun! Trust me.
How many friends have I made on my small group tours!!
Embracing diversity, cultural aspects of different places, expecting the unexpected and the “go with the flow” motto, are moments that make us wiser and more understanding to what is out there.
Each area of the world is different, even in one country, small or big, you find differences. Acceptance is the key word and that is exactly what “Traveling with Jorge” expects from you.
Let’s celebrate this gathering as a special treat!!
Embrace diversity, culture and life style as they are when traveling!
Kind Regards
Jorge A. Román on behalf of Traveling with Jorge.
